Who We Are: Philip Moore-Williams

Philip graduated with a degree in Accounting and Law in 1996 and qualified as an ACCA in 2001, gaining fellowship in 2006.

He started his career in the main trading arm of Streamline Holding plc, a recently floated engineering and construction group later bought by Jarvis plc, in the group head office where he ended as Finance Manager for the Prismo Markings division. During this time he created the dashboard KPIs for the main group board and centralised the accounts and contract administration functions for 12 subsidiary companies across the UK.

Philip left Prismo in 2000 to join in a start-up recruitment company where he still remains as part-time FD. During this time he was responsible as COO for all the group’s activities and helped the business grow from no turnover to £30m+ per annum with operating subsidiaries in the UK, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He also led the acquisition of UK and international companies and integrated their operations into a cohesive business force that achieved £1m PBT in 2008.

Philip has also acted as part-time COO/CFO for a healthcare software company where he raised capital for its growth plans as well as consolidating the company’s functions into a more cost-effective structure including the outsourcing of a national hardware support contract. He currently continues in an advisory capacity to this company.

He also completed a restructuring project on an architectural and construction group in Spain including completing accounts for the prior three years with incomplete records, negotiating and administering the opening of a new office in the UAE, as well as being involved in land deals in Turkey and Cape Verde and project bids for £50m-plus builds across the Middle East. Philip also produced a ‘road map’ for the company’s future corporate structure including relocating its head office to Ireland to maximise tax advantages as well as operating in an environment conducive to raising funds and re-launching a 20,000-issue monthly magazine aimed at the modern design marketplace to complement the group’s marketing schemes as well as providing a revenue stream in its own right.

Philip joined FD Solutions in 2009 to increase the firm’s skill base in the wide range of sectors in which he has experience.
