Michael is a problem-solver with more than 20 years’ accounting experience.
He is based in Yorkshire but works throughout the UK.
His extensive international experience (including four years as an expatriate) with blue-chip multinational corporations (British Airways, George Wimpey and Nortel) has provided a foundation to involvement in smaller, entrepreneurial, owner-managed ventures.
Michael’s career has spanned various disciplines including engineering, telecoms contracting and international financial services.
He has experience of mergers and acquisitions with its related due diligence and corporate finance work, contract appraisal, and the development of bespoke management reporting systems.
In 2004 Michael co-ordinated the admission to AIM of (Jersey-based) China Wonder, the first Chinese company to have its IPO on London’s junior stock exchange.
He has also been responsible for the preparation of China Wonder’s Report and Accounts every year since 2004 and is familiar with the stock exchange’s reporting requirements for AIM. He is still China Wonder’s company secretary.
Just recently with a new client of FD Solutions he cleaned up a badly implemented installation of a new accounting system. The client’s accounts now agree with the records!
