Who We Are: Brian Miller

After graduate training in engineering and manufacturing, Brian gained functional experience in production control, production management, IT and logistics. Subsequently he broadened sector and function experience including three years with Touche Ross Management Consultants. He developed his accounting expertise in a commercial environment which was in due course was recognised with his FCMA.

As a Chartered Director with significant Finance and General Management experience Brian has an extensive record of improving the performance and profitability of organisations and teams across service and manufacturing sectors. He now uses that to the benefit of clients is a variety of sectors. Brian is now spearheading FD Solutions expansion into the Midlands.

Most recently Brian has worked with:

• An entrepreneurial publishing group with a diverse portfolio of titles and a conferencing arm, to establish good processes and control and also supporting the business as it faces major shifts in the environment of published and electronic media;
• A professional society with serious cash constraints, enabling timely decisions to be made;
• An NHS trust as a non-executive director in support of preparation for foundation trust status; and
• Two smaller businesses seeking to establish viable business models in demanding environments.
