Brian has particular expertise in the media, marketing services, electronics and defence sectors as well as experience of doing business in the Netherlands and Germany. He has substantial experience of company turnaround and refocusing, mergers & acquisitions, sales and AIM flotations.
On joining FD Solutions in 2008, Brian became involved on a major assignment with a property company helping renegotiate its financing arrangements, adjusting its portfolio and improving its operating expenses and solvency ratios.

Since 2009 Brian has been working with a well-known UK Charity, assisting in a change programme, review of strategy and in the preparation and sale of a major asset. He has been particularly involved in developing a holistic approach to helping vulnerable and elderly residents remain in their own homes for as long as possible and then providing supportive and cost-effective care and nursing homes.
He is also currently providing Finance Director services to a promotional product company and a successful London gastro-pub.
Brian graduated with a degree in physics from Durham University and qualified with CIMA. He spent 14 years with Philips and PolyGram in the UK, Netherlands and Germany in a variety of head office, commercial, manufacturing and defence operations.
In 1987 Brian joined Bourne Publicity, largest independent promotional products company in the UK. Besides being FD he was responsible for IT, HR, purchasing, corporate accounts and sales administration. In 1999 Bourne Publicity was sold to Bemrose Corporation Plc.
