Bill has considerable business experience in the UK (having lived here until 1992), and also in New Zealand and Australia – where he has been based for over 16 years and runs our southern hemisphere operations. He has had experience in chartered accounting practices in the UK, been in various financial, general management and board level roles and has spent the past three years in a business advisory capacity.
He has had experience in CA practices, importing and distribution, FMCG, freight forwarding, produce exporting and also in public floats and the sale of private businesses.
Bill is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He has taught part-time at undergraduate and post-graduate level, and is closely involved with NZICA’s professional accounting school, being a workshop facilitator, examiner and examination marker as well as preparing study materials on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Included in his advisory work over the past few years has been:
* advising the shareholders of a privately-owned logistics company on the sale to a private equity fund;
* implementing an improved Board governance structure at a major fresh produce exporter;
* undertaking detailed due diligence appraisals on behalf of a private equity fund; and
* assisting with the flotation of a travel group.
We are delighted that Bill heads up our Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) operations, and invite you to visit www.fdsolutionsanz.com if you would like to know more about our work over there.
If you’re in the UK, feel free to contact Malcolm Durham at the London office who would be delighted to effect an introduction to Bill.
