Our Services: Pro bono work

All staff actively encouraged

All our staff are encouraged to invest time in pro bono work for charities and not-for-profit organisations. Any of the services outlined can be carried out free of charge for suitable organisations.

Current appointments

Organisations that our Finance Directors are currently involved with include the National Education Business Partnership Network, the ICAEW non-Executive Director Special Interest Group, the Old Georgians Hockey Club, Childlink Adoption Society, Through The Roof (a Christian disability charity) and the Prince’s Trust.

We are providing valuable support to a well-known City of London Livery Company, helping to uphold the traditions of the City. Ian Parlane sits on the Finance and General Purposes Committee of the Company, bringing to the Committee his extensive experience of the not-for-profit sector. We are currently assisting the organisation in moving from a manual bookkeeping system, to Sage, which will improve the reporting and streamline the process for the volunteers who keep the books.

Julian Seidman is a trustee and former treasurer of Westminster Mind, part of the national MIND network, a leading mental health charity. He attends six trustees’ meetings per year together with an annual all-day strategy meeting.

“I just wanted you to know that the interims were delivered on time and to a high standard of work. Bryan Lawrie worked hard on it and I was particularly pleased with the structure of the final Excel workbook, which will be a useful tool for the future. Please give Bryan my thanks”

Paul Barritt
CFO, Acta S.p.A.
